• Controls:

  • Week 5: Sliding/Crouching has been added, as well as a new rifle type and a way to reload, drop, and pick up guns. Large terrain added to try and define the scope of the level at some point. 
  • Week 6: Added health for the player and improved AI so that they now follow the player at a reasonable distance. Text was added for when the game starts, as well as basic information such as how many bullets the player has left and how much time has passed. More sound effects were added for the guns, and HP packs were put around the map to help the player heal throughout the level.
  • Week 7: Began work on the second level for the game and found terrains to add to the design of the level. Added a new shotgun enemy and a level requirements system that stops the end zone from working until it is satisfied. Added a menu and a hype system to incentivize the player to actually kill the enemies instead of just avoiding them. Also, added a crosshair to make aiming easier for the player. The bullets now go more towards the middle of the screen when fired.
  • Week 8: Scoreboard received some changes regarding new points earned. Main menu with a level selector and saved points was also added, and players are required to beat a certain amount of levels before they can play the next. E is now used to change guns and the dropping feature was removed. Bullets now disappear when hitting walls and do not destroy health kits anymore. 
  • Week 9: Skyboxes for 3 different levels were added, and rain was added to level 2 using particle effects. Main Menu now has an upgrade system for the player to use as they play the game. Hit markers were added for enemies and an effect now happens when you are hit by them. Movement speed was adjusted and new reload animations were also added. There is no longer a clipping issue regarding the guns. (Note: Levels 2 and 3 are identical to 1 for now in order to test particle effects and skyboxes, this will change later. Additionally, the main menu is having issues working on itch.io (it works fine in unity) so only level 2 was included here to show off the rain, but it is the structure of level 1).
  • Week 10: Started work on reload animations for the rifles. Fixed a bug with the shot gun enemies, and added a boss turret that has a lightning zone that the player has to run from, and a beam with a trail of explosions. Incorporated animations for the enemies that will eventually be applied to all of them, there should be walk, run and idle animations. Added a shotgun, and text to the player Hud. Also made picking up guns much smoother.
  • Week 11: Added beginnings of ADS and adjusted crosshair shooting. Musical options were added to assets to add to different levels later. Main Menu glitch for WebGL has been fixed, and animations were added for other enemies. Kill counter and start screen at finish line also added.
